Qb not passing

Every now and then I'll tap the player who I want to pass to but nothing will happen. I spam the player's button and after a while a pass finally happens. This is very annoying as usually I'll get sacked before the game allows me to pass, even though I have been spamming pass. Anyone else have this issue?
