I've been working on a new character and was looking for some outside opinions.
Wall of text incoming, so hold on to your butts my friends. Name: Haven't come up with a good name yet
Race: Half-Elf
Backstory: So my character is the son of a human hunter who lived in the north and a member of the northern elven nobility. His Father taught him how to hunt from a young age resulting in a damn goodmarksman and hunter. His mother taught him the way of the sword, making him proficient swordsman, his mother also told him of an armor and weapon set that would grant its wearer mastery over winter. Unfortunately, a large unknown beast attacked his home and killed his parents, he fled and spent the rest of his youth roaming the lands. Now as an adult he joins the party in order to find the Winter Kings armor and kill the beast.
Personality: while his backstory would say otherwise, he is actually a pleasant enough guy, the kind of person people like to sit down and have a pint with cause you know he's got some stories to tell. And since he was raised in the north away from most forms of law enforcement, he really has no regard for the law (in a good way), if he finds a child murdered, he won't let the law take him even if it would make him an outlaw, he doesn't care as long as he does what's right, so he would never harm an innocent, EVER.
Interesting things: Haven't talked to my DM about this but I would like the character to be a kind of Ranger/ Druid mix, so with each piece of the set that he gathers he gains another skill, ability, or attribute.
So what do you guys think?
Edit: he's not a master, but he's good at what he does.
