Nixon The Mission "The Mission Pro" Watch Face Issues w/ AW 2.0

So I just bought this watch yesterday and I love the look and have been waiting for a proper ultra durable, all terrain smartwatch. I'm an avid surfer and specifically bought this watch to replace my standard tide watch. Other than the short battery life, which doesn't bother me much since this watch is too big to wear while sleeping so I just charge it overnight, my biggest gripe is that the "The Mission Pro" watch face keeps crashing. It'll change to the appropriate face, turn black for a second and then switch to the "Simple" gray watch face. This hasn't happened with any other watch faces so far and I can only assume that this issue stems from the Nixon UX. I've reset and restarted it and it's completely up to date with the most recent Android Wear 2.0 update.

Has anyone else had this issue? I can't find it ANYWHERE online yet.
