MSI Apache Pro GE62 6QF-261UK vs. Dell Inspiron 15 7000 vs. HP Omen 15 vs. MSI GL62 7QF-1670UK - Looking for powerful gaming laptop
Hello, everyone.
I would really appreciate any personal experience and insight on which of these four laptops is the most suited to being a powerful machine that can handle multiple tasks at once without issues and some of the latest and most demanding games at a good framerate and preferably high to ultra quality settings.
Appreciate any helpful advice.
Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply.
Best specifications for the money.
How important is weight and thinness to you? Would prefer it to be lighter, but it's not a deal breaker.
Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux.
Windows. Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.
15.6" Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
Gaming and some light to moderate video editing and converting using programs such as Corel VideoStudio X9 and Wondershare Video Converter. Games are listed below.
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
Mass Effect Andromeda, Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, Tom Clancy's The Division, Batman: Arkham Knight, FIFA 17. All at high settings preferably, but would be willing to play at low to medium settings since I would only play from time to time.
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
Would prefer a laptop/notebook with both a 1TB or larger hard drive and an SSD drive over 128GB or more, but the latter isn't essential to me, but the speed benefits of an SSD do seem like a very nice proposition.
Good to very good graphics card, preferably Nvidia GTX 950 and above. I need the type of graphics card that can play the aforementioned games at preferably medium to high quality settings and at high a frame rate as it can go and still play smoothly.
Either intel core i7 sixth generation or intel core i7 seventh generation processor.
Build quality is quite important, but if the laptop/notebook was perfect in every other way and the build quality was only decent to good, then that wouldn't be too much of a problem, either.
Preferably 12GB or 16GB RAM, but would be willing to compromise with 8GB if the right laptop/notebook comes along.
Would prefer a CD/DVD drive.
Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.
I preferably want the price no higher than £800, but if a special laptop was a little higher then i would consider it. The laptop/notebook should be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and multiple Internet tabs at the same time and preferably boot up quickly in seconds.
A very good battery life would be nice.
Durability would also be nice. I want a device that can last a long time which shouldn't have a chance of breaking down quickly.
