Cloud king on alien 220w high temp

I have an alien 220w mod with tfv12-t12 coil. The temp gets in to the high 40s before I put in down to cool. I take like 10-20 hits before I put it down to let it cool. I feel limited.

I would think getting a bigger wattage mod would help me take more hits before it got high. Would getting a bigger mod help me take more hits before it got this hot? Is there anything I can do to get more hots before getting hot?
