Just landed a $20,000 contract because I made a simple, targeted landing page!
Okay, I admit I'm bragging here. Still, hopefully this will help someone out on their own entrepreneurship journey. So here goes!
I run a live stream production agency. Earlier this year, I decided to make a quick landing page targeted specifically at people wanting to produce Facebook live streams. Our site is built on WordPress, so it took less than an hour to design a passable page.
The page is pretty simple - quick description of services, some visual examples, and a call to action.
This week, we booked a gig to produce a Facebook live stream. Curious, I took a look at our Google Analytics and determined that our new client:
- Performed a Google search,
- Found our landing page,
- Spent 92 seconds on that page, then
- Gave us a call.
I find it interesting that rather than clicking on our CTA, the client opted to call us directly. It makes me realize how important to offer multiple options for contacting - someone who is ready to buy may want to speak on the phone rather than send an email.
With this experiment's success, I plan to build a lot more highly-targeted landing pages. It will take some time to see results (I built the page back in January), but that's fine.
Happy to answer any questions. Thanks for reading!
