[SV] Took my 45 days to hit my first goal
Hi everyone!!!
Been on here more and more recently. In March this year I hit the most I have ever weighed @ 238 lbs (5'9/M) and was quite shocked since the highest I'd ever weighed myself previous was about 218.
I used to do P90X with a HIGH protein diet every year from February to May and get in very good shape, usually between 180-190 and in 2015 did it sans cardio and bulked up a lot (was lifting big amounts for me) and got to 215 but low BF.
I tried going back into my normal routine in March but found it was too tough with such a bigger gut so I went into my passion of big hikes and distance walks with a high protein diet. It was very slow going though and from March 10th to April 10th I only dropped from 238 to 233 and was still not feeling great.
Researched here and elsewhere and decided I could move to keto very easily. Only had a couple rough "keto-flu" days, including one where I blacked out for 4 hours.
In the first 2 weeks I dropped to 221. I then added IF and it kept dropping. After week 3 I completely gave up breakfast on weekedays since I am never hungry anymore and only eat one meal a day, usually about 2000 calories, with a keto coffee around noon of coffee + coconut oil + heavy cream. Last 2 weeks I have added at least 1-2 avocados per day to my meal and magnesium supplement pills.
My hope was to get under 205 where I knew I could train hard and just today I had a mini whoosh from 207 lbs to 204 lbs.
I've also introduced my father to keto. He is in week 4 right now and is down at least 18 lbs from 213 to under 200.
Thank you so much for all the help and motivation (some of you have lost whole people!).
TL:DR: Started April 18th @ 233 lbs, Goal to get under 205 to start exercising more fiercely, just hit 204 today and feel awesome
