Yet another "should I buy t Yet another "should I buy" thread (several questions)

Hey everyone, been following this sub for a while in order to get more informed about this apple product. I have a 2016 15" mbp and and iPhone 7, both which seem to be compatible with the watch. I recently started reading books on my 7, which was the primary purpose of my old iPad 1.

Since I no longer want to pick up a new iPad I figure an Apple Watch would really scratch my gadget itch.

Thing is, I've never owned a watch that isn't a pocket watch. I'd love to hear from people who bought a watch that ordinarily do not wear one. I'm a guy who doesn't wear any jewelry so I'm a little concerned about that. I know they have a return window but I'd kind of feel like a douche not to think this through first.

My mom really wants one so I've considered buying her one and seeing how she likes it, problem is she's a Watch lover so it may not be the best indicator of wether or not I'll like the damn thing.

Lastly, I did go for a fitting and I loved the midnight blue leather loop. It's $220 plus tax up here in Canada though, was wondering what people think of the $20 knockoff? I know you have to pay for quality but $220 seems kinda nuts.
