Did you have a player/companion you 'looked up to'?

Y'know, you first started out, got to rank 20 or so and started seeing players with a strong companion set that you'd always save for those tough story missions.

It was an Orlandu for me, he had 800+ attack and I don't remember when I first added them. But, they were a solid choice for me whenever I was struggling to clear content.

Now I'm almost rank 70, I have a solid Fryevia, my own little Orlandu and I find myself not needing him as much anymore.

But man, you helped a lot whoever you are. EDIT: Langriss

On the opposite side of things, I still have a couple people I added as I went along with Rain still set as their companions.

Edit: Wow, this thread was really touching to read through. I'm glad so many people have companions they added and kept on after a year. Even if some of the older people I have only play once or twice a week I hope my companion helps them stay in the game too!

Edit2: I just remembered I have a Yun on my companion list as well. I can't believe I forgot about them and their strong but annoying bird that takes forever to attack, haha. But, they were another person I added and they kept me on as I geared up and learned the game. Thanks asian-named guy! (I think it's Chinese.)
