Why is there always shredded toilet paper on the women's room floor?

Hello r/askwomen! I am a man who cleans toilets at a bar and for the most part it's a cool gig, but I always notice that every night there are dozens of little flecks of toilet paper beside the women's toilet while the corrosponding men's toilet doesn't have any (it's got all sorts of other putridness but that's neither here nor there).

I asked several close friends of mine about their toilet habits to try to get a clue into why this might be the case but even they don't seem to know why. The prevailing theory has to do with applying makeup, but the mirror and sink are situated too far from the toilet for this to make much sense.

I'm acutely aware at how stupid this all sounds right now, but it's truly a mystery to me. Why do you think this might be the case? It this a "thing" that happens elsewhere? At risk of ending up on r/badwomensanatomy, is there a women's toilet activity that I don't know about?
