Administrative Separation

I am currently deployed to the Middle East and I'm trying to push through an administrative separation under AR635-200 Chapter 16-2 for acceptance into a program leading to a commission. I've already talked to legal and S1 and they say that I have everything I need and it should not be a problem, but I am stalling out on getting approval from my battalion commander and brigade commander. My question is what options do I have if this gets shot down? Has anyone had success with using open door policies? IG? Congressman? Any help would be appreciated.
