[Build Ready] Light gaming/3D design student budget build ($600)

Build Ready

###Build Help/Ready:

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)

Yeah.

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

I'll be doing some light gaming in addition to coding (Comp Sci assignments) and a bit of 3D design for an Intro to 3D Design class using Maya 2017.

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, frame rate, game settings)

Decent 40-60 fps with med/high settings on a 1080p monitor. This part is pretty flexible, as long as the most modern games look good and run at a playable frame rate. I'm not too picky when it comes to gaming.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

I can go up to around $650 if I need to, but the lower the better without sacrificing usability and performance. Please let me know if I'm overspending/underspending on a specific part.

In what country are you purchasing your parts?

USA.

Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).

Provide any additional details you wish below.

This is my first PC build, and this was largely inspired by Austin Evan's Boson build. I was afraid that the Pentium G4560 processor wouldn't be able to handle Maya, hence the Core i5 7500.

What do you guys think? Any glaring compatibility issues? Also, I'm not at all partial to Intel or NVIDIA, so if waiting for the RX 5xx series to become available or going with some AMD CPU would be better, let me know!
