[NP] I unmatched two girls on Tinder INDIA & it felt good.

So no need to go over the backstory on how Tinder doesn't work in India. I'm an average looking dude living in a tier II city, got two matches in the past two weeks. Have to admit I swiped right on almost every girl in there (the price) since I wanted to get my feet wet at least.

My strategy: Since I had right swiped almost every gal in there, till there was 'No more new people around you' message, I expected surprises. Now to the hypocrisy - I expected to match with girls who I didn't find attractive, but it was the complete opposite. Although I preach about judging people by their personality and not the looks alone, I often find it difficult to follow my own advice. In this situation, you can guess my excitement and surprise when I matched with them 'alleged' beauties.

Fast forward to chat - being excited, I message first. Get a response, everything good. But time and again, my good attitude - trying to stimulate a conversation, however funny I think I was(at one point I called her a Pokemon since she was saying Na for every question I had), I'm greeted by an awkward non interest. I imagine she must've thought something when she right swiped me, but barely participated in the conversation. Far from contributing to the conversation, it appeared as if she had to buy words from her bank balance.

Case 2: I think I've hit gold. A game of thrones fan, with the latest season poster as one of her dps. A straight "Valar Morghulis" spawns me a response within seconds. Then begins the journey of an endless, exciting conversation in Westerosi with titles exchanging on both sides. But I, being hopelessly optimist, asked her number right away to show her my 'An Ice of Fire' 6 book collection - which sends her into defense mode. I ask her on a date, and she straightaway refuses. So I guess something wasn't working there, but I still gave it a shot - trying to throw innuendos, euphemisms and what not(in good taste, nothing offensive). Still no yielding - instead she stopped replying to my messages altogether. Unmatched after 24 hours of no messages.

I sincerely think that putting on a good guy act alienates people. They stop taking you seriously and think of you as disposable at peril. I really hope this wasn't the case.

TLDR; Unmatched to 'fine' ladies on Tinder, felt relieved.
