Refresher course or intermediate climbing trip? (xpost r/mountaineering)
My climbing partner and I are planning our next mountaineering trip for late July and are interested in Mount Shasta, Mount Hood, or similar (Northern California or Oregon preferred).
We are in great shape, have experience at high altitude, and took a 5 day technical glacial climbing course last summer, but haven't been practicing our glacial mountaineering skills in the months that have passed. I think a 1-2 day refresher course or a guided climb for intermediate (non-beginner) climbers would be safer and more pleasant than going off on our own this summer.
Does anyone have a recommendation for this type of course or guided climb? Ideally I'd like to spend a couple of days on a guided climb and then spend another few days doing a second mountain on our own.
Thank you!
