Long time Skyrim player, thinking about getting ESO. Got some questions.

I've been playing Skyrim since 11/11/11. I got excited when I first heard about ESO, but when it first released, I read a lot of reviews that said it was super buggy, and had a lot of game ruining glitches, so I decided not to get it. However now, after some years of debugging, and updates, is the game better? Should I get it? Is there still a large enough player base? How does the gameplay differ from Skyrim?
