Xbox 360 wireless controllers issue with Windows 10.

I use a few 360 wireless controllers with W10 (usb dongle for the connectivity). For the most part they've worked great over the years but recently they'll disconnect for no reason (even with full batteries).

Wondering if my controllers are just getting old or if anyone else on W10 is having this issue as well.

Thinking of maybe getting some Xbone controllers to see how they work since they don't use a wireless dongle/adapter that 360 ones do.

Or should I dump them all and get Steam controllers?

Thoughts?
