Trying to enjoy things

My neighborhood has a private pool. They allow alcohol. It was a huge plus when I bought my house years and years ago. I used to be so happy to just hang out here with a book and a beer and feel like I'd "made it" because I owned a house with pool access (something I had always envied when I was younger). Today I am sitting here noticing that I am the only person here over 18 that doesn't have kids with me. My neighbor with 3 kids under 5 is here. I'm trying to enjoy this, but I kind of just feel out of place. Trying to be thankful I can enjoy a book and drink and stay here as long as I want because no one needs lunch or naptime - but that only works so well. Anything you still try to enjoy despite an abundance of fertiles? Any tips on not letting the herds of babies suck the joy out of things?
