Idea for a Draco Link monster
And no, I don't mean True Draco, they're too meta for my tastes. I mean the old mostly-pendulum archetype consisting of Dracoslayers and Dracoverlords. Since the Draco archetype has a monster for each summoning mechanic, I figured it would be cool if they got an archetype-specific Link monster too, which could continue the story of {{Vector Pendulum, the Dracoverlord}}
So my idea for this card is as follows;
Internetctor Pendulum, the Virtual Dracoverlord (I'm bad at puns okay)
DARK Attribute Dragon-type
2950 ATK / LINK-3 (top left, bottom and top right link markers)
2+ Dracoslayer or Dracoverlord Monsters
This card name's "1)" effect can only be used once per turn.
Negate the effects of all other Link Monsters while this card is face-up on the field. Cannot be destroyed in battle by Link Monsters.
-
Once per turn, you can pendulum summon from your extra deck into zones not attached to a Link Monster's Link Points. This counts as your Pendulum Summon of the turn. [Not sure how to word that better]
-
Once per turn, target and destroy one of your monsters at one of this monster's Link Points, and add a Dracoverlord monster from your deck or GY to your hand.
-
If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect, Special Summon one "Dracoverlord" monster from your hand, deck, GY or face up from the Extra Deck, ignoring summoning conditions and Link Marker requirements.
It's probably totally nonsensical and a bit OTT, but basically the gist of it is to blockade your opponent's strategies by messing around with their Link Monsters effects, while allowing you to rebuild your board with the pendulum summoning effect and recycling. Also he floats because who doesn't in 2017, but since it's not a Ritual Summon you won't be able to abuse destroying him on your turn in order to get a free {{Amorphactor Pain, the Imagination Dracoverlord}} and activate his summon effect.
Thanks for reading my dumb idea for a dumb card, I'm gonna go play more Draco Pendulums on YGOPro and cry over my bricks
Edit: I should probably clarify for people unfamiliar with the archetype that the reason he negates is because Lector and Vector Pendulum negate the opponent's Pendulum Monsters and Pendulum Scales respectively while activated as your scales, while Amorphactor Pain negates the effects of all other extra deck monster types, while being a main deck ritual monster. Therefore I figured a Link Monster that negates other Link Monsters is the logical continuation of the story of Vector Pendulum, now apparently reborn as some kind of very bitter cybernetic data dragon? Idk what that art would look like.
