Theory about Kim/Gene

In S2 E7 Kim says in her interview with Shwikark and coakley (however the fuck you spell it) that she's from a small town in Nebraska. I can see at the end of BCS she has a falling out with jimmy and moves back home. Flash forward to Gene years and she runs into him in Omaha. Thoughts?
