Finish Blood and Wine Now or After NG+?

I've played ~180 hours (GoTY GOG), finished the base game, Hearts of Stone, and started the first ~2 hours of Blood and Wine; but then stopped playing ~2 months ago. I feel like jumping back into the game since it's been quite some time, but debating if I should continue exactly where I left off and finish Blood and Wine or start ng+ mode to save the final expansion for last. I feel motivated to start again with ng+ to get all of the best gear upgrades and re-experience the story before it comes to an emotional ending. This is very rare for me since I tend to get disillusioned after finales of most games; part of me is concerned it will happen again if I finish Blood and Wine before starting ng+. FFXV is a recent-ish example where the ending for me was a motivation crushing disillusionment.
