I think I have an awkward Airbnb situation...
So, I'm renting a room through Airbnb for ~5 days, now at the end of the second day. Anyway, it's a typical one bedroom apartment with a main area, small kitchen, bathroom, and a balcony. The bed in the bedroom is a large (king?) size bed. I'm one student traveling, and the host also shares the residence so it's one of the private room types, not the whole apartment. But... from what I've noticed, the host sleeps in the main area where the couches are, and I guess on a pull-out bed of some sort? I think I'm sleeping in his room.
I know I'm paying for the space and everything, but still, it feels a little awkward to have this guy sleeping on a couch, especially when I'm a short, small person who doesn't need this giant bed. Should I address this awkward feeling or just let it go for a few more days? Is this normal? I haven't really done many Airbnb rooms.
Edit: To add a bit more info... this person seems to be living a bit frugally. The economy isn't great, but... there is no toilet paper, only several sheets of paper towels stuck in the TP holder. A combination shower gel/shampoo is the hand soap. I mean, it seems a bit extreme, but I'm flexible so it's not a huge deal... but it contributes to this sense of awkwardness.
