HiRezJuJu Responds to New Mastery System on the Forums

We front loaded the chests with the new changes. New players would get 3 chests by level 10 before, now, they get 3 by level 6. Something I think a lot of people missed.

The gold rewards were never a big deal because players gain WAY more just working toward the reward in the first place. Mastery rewards were never a primary way of generating currency and chests, simply a small bonus to that.

Alternatively, the new system offers players some new content to show off. Stuff that we felt was more exciting and added more to the experience.

Between FWOTD bonuses, match winnings, daily logins and the many special events we run, Paladins still has some of the quickest progression of any free game. That's before any account boosts are figured in too.

Still, keep the feedback coming and I'll keep passing it along. Changes come quick and often, new ideas and avenues are explored frequently. These systems are always being built upon and improved.
