Home of Brown at End of the Chase?

This may not be ground breaking for many here (I usually think of HOB as a mountain, peak, or creek's origin), but this hadn't clicked for me. I was reading a response from u/thebrandedman, and it triggered a shift in how I think about the poem (Thanks!).

What if HOB isn't a point along the path, but it is at or past the chest's location?

When Forrest said that one word should be in tight focus, I think that word is "below." Most people seem to interpret the clues like this (whether WWWH is the first clue or not): -->WWWH-->Canyon Down-->TFTW-->HOB--> ... --> blaze --> chest.

For awhile, I was interpreting HOB at the point where one puts in or finds a put in. The rest of the clues I interpret walking up or a creek until you find the blaze which will indicate that you should find the chest below. But maybe the chest is resting in a spot on the way to the HOB or at HOB, after having trekked up the creek (rather than finding HOB and the put in, and going on from there).

See this for a crudely drawn example: http://imgur.com/a/MYYE4

If that's the case, then it's going to be a bit easier to get deeper into the poem's clues rather than getting stuck after canyon down and TFTW.
