[Discussion] How to find other Gay people?

So I was at this BBQ thing and there were a shit ton of hot guys my age walking around. If i was straight, it would be pretty easy just to walk up to a girl and at least attempt to flirt, because there's like a 90% chance she's straight too. But if I just walk up to some random guy and start flirting it would be super awkward because he's most likely straight. Why is it so hard for us? Is there any other way?
