So a branch fell on the hood of my van at 6 or so in the morning.

Im in FL and it's been raining everyday for the past few days after an unusually dry "spring." (I put quotes around spring because we dont really have a spring season. Basically HOT and then in January it's not so hot.) This is dangerous because when the trees finally absorb all the great moisture, the limbs become heavy. Branches and limbs that are heavy and weak, fall.

So yeah I wake up to a HUGE LOUD BOOM at about 6 am. I jumped up sorta scared but just startled mostly. I did hear any voices or movement so I peeped around and it wasn't someone trying to harm me or my vehicle... this i was my first thought. Once I was sure it wasn't people or harmful... my very next thought was "THANKS A LOT ELON MUSK!" I figured it was a rocket or something coming back into the atmosphere. I was a little pissed but fell asleep again quickly.

It wasn't until I backed out of the parking spot to leave, around 10am, I noticed a large limb in the ground. I had a side thought but didn't think much of it.

Later while cooking breakfast I noticed something different about the hood. See, this has happened once before but it totally smashed the windshield out and damaged the hood a little. It didn't look any worse, but there was clearly a new spot... Then it dawned on me.

I had a little laugh and was happy that it didn't smash the glass again...

yup so that happened. Have a good one vandwellers.
