Which Acer VX15?

I'm pretty sure I've decided on the VX15, now I have to decide between the 8GB/GTX1050 model or the 16GB/GTX1050ti model.

My budget is $800, but I can swing the extra $100 if I have a compelling reason.

I'm not a hardcore gamer. I mostly play Civ 5 these days. I'm thinking of picking up Civ 6 and possibly Stellaris, and may try other 4X games down the road. The only other newish game I might consider picking up at some point is Fallout 4, but that's about it.

Is the GTX 1050 ti worth the extra $100 for my gaming needs or can I get by with the vanilla 1050? I have no problem upgrading the RAM later on, so the difference in GPU is my only concern for now.
