Opinions on Destroy All Monsters?

I always heard that this is one of the quintessential giant monster movies. While the fight at the end is pretty good... that's really all it has going for it. The rest of the movie is BORING AS FUCK.

All the human/alien shit is not interesting in the slightest. Lots of Godzilla movies suffer from this issue, but I expected better from one with such a reputation. Monster Zero did a much better job at making its human/alien plot at least half-way entertaining.

Even the monster fight at the end isn't all that. I mean, the movie is billed as being this huge monster showdown, right? Well, really the only ones involved in the fight at the end are Godzilla, Ghidorah, Anguirus, and Gorosaurus. Mothra and Komunga uselessly spit web in the background, and Rodan just flies around the entire fight, not doing jack shit. And as for Manda, Baragon, and Varan? Little more than cameos.

So yeah, not a fan. What do you guys think?
