Can someone explain to me in detail why Dan hates giraffes so much?
I just don't get it.

He was walking home with his parents and a giraffe shot them, ostensibly as a robbery.
Actually I hear it just swung its neck around like a helicopter and cracked their skulls, and then helicoptered off into the cold Milwaukee night.
I was trying to refer to Batman's origin but honestly I don't know the story well enough. r/fellowkids
It's a running joke and giraffes are weird.
His dad wore a giraffe mask while hitting him with a belt.
episode 7:
“They have long necks! I mean, obviously they’re willing to change for how high the leaf is!"
They thing they're so great, but they're just tall horses.

Its a bit. Shouldn't be difficult.
As I understand it: humans learnt to change their environment to suit them, where giraffes changed themselves to suit their environment. To Dan, who has "stubborn" somewhere important on his character sheet, this is a cardinal sin that cannot be forgiven.
Ironically, humans first evolved the ability to change their environment to suit them.
