Loot, RNG, Vault?

I've noticed a LOT of obvious things not being mentioned or talked about by Bungie to date for D2, but principally, why are they so hush hush on loot?

I feel like I know more about exotics than anything else. They even said that engrams wont be in the beta. So I am thinking we get a set loadout of gear and that's all we get to play with.

Also, I get it, the vault is blowed up. But what does that mean exactly?? Why does it feel like Bungie is being super secretive over something that IMO is kind of important and was a sticking point in D1?

My personal thoughts are that they are DRASTICALLY overhauling the loot system and they are keeping it a secret until launch because they are convinced they are implementing something we all want. (ie: vaults in space type stuff)

Anyone have ideas of what Bungie could be up to with the loot system in D2 since we've had limited info released?

Edit: Changed flair to discussion. To be clear, I am not complaining. I am instead attempting to see if anyone is with me in thinking they are doing something huge with loot. Maybe we could speculate on what we think they're up to.
