Any examples of super raw lines of dialogue?
I feel like so often movies try too hard to make every line sound so intellectual or deliberately well-written. Don't get me wrong, it works most of the time, and of course I appreciate listening to well-crafted and specific words to move the story, but occasionally just a super raw line can cut super hard. Some of my favorite examples coming to mind:
Training Day, Macy Gray: "bitchass punkass crookedass cop" - sheer anger that she can't really think fast enough to put into words.
Donnie Darko, Maggie Gyllenhaal: "you can go suck a fuck" - she's arguing with her brother and can't think of a comeback fast enough. I've always loved this scene because it so perfectly exemplifies how siblings actually fight, or how someone often stumbles over their own ideas in the heat of the moment.
