Update Therapy.
Updates seem to make us so mad these days, swearing is rife on the sub and so many have expressed some serious rage in their comments. It's been an emotional time for some, business as usual for others.
Of course it's very annoying for the avid player but previously we didn't get many updates throughout the year and they were always bugged for months & months afterwards. Now we have almost live feed back with mr RLight who seems to be really good at putting out update fires in what is record time compared to days of old. This is progress.
The position I have regretfully adopted to curb my disappointment is to believe and expect any and every Boombeach update to have bugs. It's just the way it is from SC and apparently also in the wider computer wizardry industry.
The ironic positive twist to this sorry tale is that we are getting far more regular updates and they actually contain less significant bugs. Granted they might not have some of the things we asked for but that's really up to them and not for us to demand.
For reference previous serious bugs were: unpredictable zooks pathing, warrior clumping, medics not healing under smoke, being able to scout a base over and over to reduce its boosted ice time, overloading LCs and switching to flight mode to be able to sandbox any attacks to name a few.
TL;DR: I would prefer to have more frequently released bugged updates than hardly any updates which are still bugged. I would love to have a bug free update but I wouldn't want to wait a year for it. (And it would be bugged anyway)
Stay cool and have a nice weekend.
