Idiot needs help with an office fan

I'm fairly sure the best response here is you're dumb and ruined it, but I have a office-style rotating fan and it was crowded with dust and hair, so I let it soak in a bucket of water and white vinegar over night. Cleared the dust and hair out nicely, but now it won't start when I turn it on, I can hear the electronic whirrrrr when I press my ear to it, but nothing is moving. Salvageable or trash it?
