I hate my bridesmaid dress

I cried when I got my bridesmaid dress. It looks like a horrible matronly dress from the 40s, it accentuates every bad feature, I don't feel like I look like myself. I spent a lot overy my budget on the dress and am spending more than I have on travel, hotel, activities, etc to the point I'm late on my rent this month. This dress is the icing on the cake and I just want to stay home! I love my friend dearly and know this is her day and I want it to be a positive experience for her. I won't get my $ refunded in time to buy a new dress and I've been looking/going back and forth for her for months on what she wants vs I want vs size/stock/color/shipping/price etc! It's been a nightmare with an undesirable outcome. How do I feel comfortable wearing this horrendous dress on her day?
