Can start a stone cleaning business and run it from home till i get enough money to pay for a small warehouse?

hello everyone I'm planning to start a stone restoration business with a partner. I'm currently studying the law and business manual for a contractors license. I'm hoping to get the business running this August. my question is, can i run the business from my house to start off? (i would only have a van with all my equipment). if so what are some steps i would need to take, thank you.
