My friend sent me a fountain pen. I've been trying to get the Ink to come out of the cartridge. Nothing

My friend sent me a fountain pen in the mail. It's a jinhao I believe. She showed me how to insert the cartridge via a video chat. I try. I'm not strong enough to pop it. I got my mom. She got it to pop. But no ink will come out no matter what angle it's at or how I long I hold it for. What should I do?

Also I don't really have much experience with pictures on Reddit so if that's needed could someone show me how to upload it?

Thank you Edit: cartridge definitely popped enough but ink won't come out of the pen.
