Best exchange platform for smaller / newer coins?

Hey there. I am newer and have used coinbase/gdax. Not a huge fan of the fees plus you can only buy/sell bitcoin, eth & litecoin.

I want to get into more of the lower priced/newer/ less mainstream currencies.

What platform would you recommend?

Minimal fees, ease of use & decent security in mind.
