Popping the Psychedelic Cherry - When/what/how was your first experience?

For me, I was 10 and got dosed by a dental assistant. Nitrous Oxide... And forgetting to turn the oxygen feed on. Technically a psychedelic and the beginnings of a NDE? I'm not sure, but it sent me down a lifelong path of exploration, for sure. It was dissociative, scary, kind of beautiful... I was ill prepared to greet death as a kid, but once I went into the bright light (dental light) with the angels (assistants in lab coats) around me speaking in tongues (audio distortion) and felt my body disappear... I realized it wasn't so bad. In a lot of ways, that experience shaped my life.
