[S3E6] What if the ending of FWWM is chronologically the ending of Season 3?

SpoilerS3E6

If you don't remember, at the end of FWWM we see Laura crying from happiness in the Red Room, Cooper holding his hand on her shoulder & her angel descending from above.

She's been saved? Maybe, but only in the future, after the events of current season. Time in the Black Lodge & The Red Room does not move in usual way.

Coop seemed to have a dream about death of Laura long before she was killed. He even told Albert about that.

What if Coop's real mission was always to let his fears die, be "consumed by fire", and arise again, renewed, like a phoenix? And save Laura in the end? 'Cause it's his karma?

Some clues:

  • abrupt Laura's exit from the Red Room after speaking to Coop
  • red curtains, blowing in the wind = Fire. White horse = Death.
  • MIKE's words: "Is it future, or is it past?"
  • Leland Palmer asking Coop to "find Laura".
  • Part 10 title: "Laura is the one".

Also some thoughts about Coop's rebirth:

  • David Lynch practices meditation, is clearly influenced by Buddhism
  • "Samsara" is buddhist term for a circle of rebirth, filled with pain & suffering
  • Dale Cooper may be in fact a Zen Buddhist: as evidenced by S01E02: "Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer"
  • Incidentally after returning to real world as DougieCoop, he starts to see things as they really are. That is one of the many steps to enlightenment.
  • He is almost ego-less as DougieCoop. Also a step towards enlightenment.
  • His next step would be awakening (satori) - "seeing into one's true nature". That makes me believe it's absolutely necessary for both DougieCoop & BadCoop to meet. Cause BadCoop is Yin for DougieCoop's Yang.

What do you think?

P.S.: I know it's a stretch...
