Using an accounting system called Aplos to keep books for a nonprofit. It allows me to go back and modify posted journal entries - everything from the date, accounts to hit, amounts. Is this like, normal?
Staff auditor here, never been on the operational side of anything before helping with the books of this nonprofit. In finagling with this system Aplos, no entries I post is set in stone, wehther it's a manual JE or an entry posted using their AR and AP tools. Is this like, normal? I thought after you post a JE, all you can and should do is make reversals and/or adjustments, even if it's before month end close?
