[MAIN SPOILERS] Anyone else think Davos might actually be evil?

Apologies if anyone has already posted this, but I am currently on my third rewatch of the show and have just started tinfoiling. Throughout the first 3 series Davos actively tries to foil Melisandre's plans to put Stannis (a strong commanding leader) on the throne, he keeps her away from the battle of the blackwater and then frees Gendry. I know it's a stretch but is there a chance he isn't the hero we all assume?
