[Rant] I hate the Underwoods, and I'm terrified of them. This seasons is Fucked up.
#Spoilers for Literally everything, make sure you're caught up
I'm on episode 13 right now and I seriously hate this season.
I mean, the Russo killing was a scratch in my heart, especially after his inspiring speech in his home state, but it was handled so well, with Russo passing out from being drunk in his car and frank leaving him behind. And I was not impacted a lot by the Zoe death, it was quick and painless and especially with that badass 4th wall break when he said, don't you think I forgot about you at the end of the episode and the FU.
But when frank pushed Catharine down the stairs, I was pretty un-happy, since she was literally one of the only genuine, honest and Good at heart characters on this show. But that dinner scene with Doug broke me. He looked so confused and sad, and the Underwoods kept talking without even looking at his face and how terrified he was. Doug has always been loyal to the underwoods, no matter what, he has done terrible things for them, and they are the closest thing Doug has to a family, an The final nail in the coffin was the Tom Yates sex scene. I kinda wanted Tom Yates to die, because his character was annoying, but not like this! I mean I felt so bad for him when he was talking about going to Sweden and his hide and seek story from his childhood (props to the actor, he sold that shit), and quietly screaming for help while Claire humped him, as he lay dead on the floor naked with his eyes open. As a grown man, who was an avid horror movie watcher as a kid, I'm more sad/emotionally scarred from this season of HOC than anything I've ever watched. I literally pulled out an old Drake & Josh DVD to watch an episode to wash the taste of blood out of my mouth.
I'm gonna end this with 2 questions:
#1. Are you still on the frank train? Also, why?
#2. Could you guys act wholesome? I know it's weird, but it would really help me recover from this shit.
