Who you're paired with is the most important factor of the game.

What really makes the game for me is not whether or not they know how to play or wreck other players but rather the sense of humour they have while doing everything.

I can't remember my first few sessions but I added this bloke because he would laugh at everything and was generally funny so I added him. 2 Nights ago I paired up with people on the xbox Sea of thieves club thingy. I beleive one of them was new and he was the more nice, slightly quieter guy. They other two were generally ok but what annoyed me is that they never stopped talking and they wouldn't listen to each other at all. I was like "yeah the ship is behind us and getting closer" straight after that the guy at the wheel is like "can somebody go in the crows nest and fucking check where the ship is"... I literally just got up there and told him.

It was just horrible teamwork. "aright guys were taking loads of hit and leaking can I get some help" meanwhile they are screaming and all on the cannons like "HIT THE BOTTOM THEN THEY'LL SINK" 1. Yeah no crap and 2. SAVE THE SHIP BASTARDS! A minute later someone would be like "Ima check if we got any damage" oh my God my brain! I'd be down there for 5 minutes trying to shut the holes AND get the water out. It was very frustrating.

The night after that I used the clubs system again and got slightly better people. The bossy 'know it all' guy left barely after 5 minutes which was great. There was an annoying kid who wanted to hunt down ships 24/7, wouldn't get off the wheel, dropped the anchor, and rammed the ship into a few rocks purposely. I kinda stuck with him because he was quite funny and could be a good teamwork player. Overtime he got less annoying and helped us. The last guy was pretty average, he listened, he helped. Very cool and normal. The problem came from the guy replacing the bossy bloke. He wouldn't use a mic but knew how to play and play well. Turned out he was French which was a problem but didn't understand our plans so if we went off course to go to the closest shipwreck he'd drop the anchor and then kill himself or something so we thought he left the game, only for him to come back and then drop anchor again or rather raise it and slam the ship into a rock.

BUT THE LAST DAY WAS THE BEST. I randomly matchemade this time and caught three people just starting on the island. They were all great. You could instantly tell, they got smashed straight away and were throwing up for a solid 5 minutes while still trying to gether resources from the crates. I think one or two of them were new which IMO always makes it better and more fun watching them discover everything, even the guy who played a lot like me would laugh at absolutely anything. We worked well together, we listened to each other, we got gold easily and laughed about everything. They were all hilarious and God damn it was great. Unfortunately I only played with them for half of the session and I really wished I could've stayed for the whole session because now I'm jealous and think maybe they got someone better than me after I left xD they reminded me so much of my friends and they were great, best session yet <3
