How not to relapse
You relapse because you're bored. Because you're stuck in routines instead of trying new things. When was the last time you sung?
There's so much to do out there ! You can enjoy the Cantatas of Bach and the jazz of Art Blakey. You can walk your friend's dog and play with him in the sun, or invite friends to your flat and cook something for them. If you don't cook, learn it ! Go to the library and discover the joys of litterature. Watch the sunset sky from your balcony and grow some strawberries… It's easy ! If you don't feel creative, buy a hammock and hang in there listening to Can, Nick Drake or JJ Cale. Repair your bike… Meet your neighbours and make friends with them.
Call everywhere you can to find work, clean your fridge, hug your mom. Read the fuckin' Bible and discover that it's not only a dusty book for the old creepy ladies walkin out of church on a sunday morning.
Buy some bread at your town's market, plan a road trip. Learn to stretch to chill after a workout, take a walk to the hill, forest, mountain or park nearby.
You could also dig in to find out the exciting sounds of french gipsy jazz, old 1930's slaves and prison songs, even some fuckin gregorian choirs that sound so damn good in the dark of your weekly self-cleaned sleeping room.
Did you see that cloud? Check the colors ! And that strange spider on the wall? What kind of crazy genius created those amazingly creepy creatures?
What about hosting some crazy Swiss Cyclists through the Couchsurfing Network? Would you enjoy your time together? Even in they were fucking COPS in real life, but feeling so chill at your place you would share your weed with them?
What do you feel like? Why don't you use your damn BENEFITS, those you were waiting for so long, to shout to that dumbass harassing you DONT TREAD ON ME? To learn to play the harmonica? To enjoy your life even if you're in the middle of a big shitstorm? Ain't the sun still shining?
