Babes, a theory about famous queens pre-RuPaul

So I have this thought that might have been brought up before, but: do you think famous queens pre-RuPaul (I mean queens that were recognized or at least somewhat popular before the show) make some sort of arrangement as to what position they might reach in the game? I'm thinking of girls like Courtney Act or even Peppermint who would say sure, I'll go on the show...but on the condition that I make top 3 (or 4 in the second case).

Is this crazy? Feel free to shade me
