iPad Pro: Does a Smart Cover compatible case mean it's also compatible for the Smart Keyboard?

I'm trying to find a hard back case for my iPad 9.7 and it's proving impossible. I use the Smart Keyboard extensively and need a case that can work well with it.

A lot of cases say they're "Smart Cover compatible" but does this mean they're also Smart Keyboard compatible? Do these two lay differently against the glass? Or can I rely on the fact that if it's compatible with the Smart Cover then I should be good with the keyboard?
