Recommendation: GNSS Equipment that supports Android and exporting to ArcGIS?
Good afternoon Reddit!
The municipality I work for has been using a Trimble GeoExplorer 2003 unit with TerraSync 3.05 to collect data and exporting the data to shapefiles. The handheld unit is starting to fail and we're looking to replace it.
We're hoping someone here has experience using bluetooth enabled gnss receivers paired to an android tablet. Our budget is fairly low (under $11k). Our goal is to purchase a GPS/GNSS solution that provides sub meter to centimeter accuracy that works with/has Android based data collection applications and can export to ArcGIS.
We've looked at the Spectra SP-60, Trimble R2, and EOS Arrow on the hardware side and ESRI Collector, Taxus tMap, AmigoCloud, and Spectra Survey Mobile on the software side. Anyone have an experience using these applications and integrating the data to GIS?
Thanks in advance for your help!
