[Product Question] Those who broke out from CeraVe PM, do you know why?

Hi,

I recently started using CeraVe PM after my skin suddenly turned dry and my regular Night of Olay cutting it. After the first day of using CeraVe, my chronic redness diminished quite visibly and was kept at bay for the week that I used it for. Unfortunately, this was also accompanied with closed comedones and acne. (I patch tested for 2 days only because my face was really drying out)

I suspect the niacinamide calmed my redness , but I can't be sure what caused the CCs and acne. I'm REALLY hoping it's not the niacinamide.

So for anyone who has broken out from CeraVe PM, do you know what exact ingredient did it?

PS - I have normal skin with some oiliness around my nose. My routine is the following:

AM splash face with water CeraVe PM (used to be Night of Olay) La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Cream SPF 45 (European formulation)

PM Neutrogena hydrating cleanser CeraVe PM (used to be Night of Olay) Vaseline on areas as needed
