What to Watch Next?

So some friends and I watched IBO last semester in college, and really enjoyed it! We'd heard of the Gundam franchise before, but mostly of the old style animation. We're big fans of some gritty action and darkish storylines, but with some lightheartedness as well. I guess my main question is, what else in the Gundam universe would be similar to IBO?
