Bug after the 1.7.2 update making the game unplayable

Hey everyone. Since the update to 1.7.2 (and still happening after the rollback) my game has been stuttering really badly. As far as I can tell it basically microfreezes for maybe a tenth of a second whenever a day rolls over while on the galactic map. It's bad enough that the game is pretty literally unplayable until this gets fixed. I don't have any mods installed, so that isn't the problem. Anyone else having the same issue?
