Submitted MOBO RMA to ASUS - they bent CPU pins and are charging for repair - need help
As the title states, I sent a motherboard back to ASUS after 6 months ownership. I assembled my desktop and from day one I was running a GTX 970 - come the end of my grad term I decided I needed to focus on my studies, and had a buyer for my 970 so I removed it to use the onboard motherboard graphics which didn't work. I RMA'd the board to ASUS after hours of troubleshooting, checking the board for damage, putting the CPU pin protector in, wrapping the entire thing in bubble wrap. I get a picture a few days later from them with bent CPU pins and an invoice for $130 to repair a $179 motherboard. I protested they damaged it, they told me to take it up with the shipping company (who's fault it OBVIOUSLY isn't). I've tweeted them, I've posted on their FB page, I've even been going back and forth with a guy who responded to my negative review on Newegg and I've gotten nowhere.
Does anyone have any contact information or advice? I can't afford a new motherboard until mid July and I'd rather not use my work laptop to start my grad term next week if I can avoid it (I wasn't expecting this to happen).
